Good Day! Which file system should be on SSD before installation?

I had both types of storage devices formatted to NTFS before installing into the player. This worked for me. However I am having issues with song file information being kept, if you change the directory name after the file has been loaded (Ripped of transferred). Song’s files loose their Artist Name and Album Title, when this occurs, which if not manually re-entered, will cause loss of Album Cover Image and link to Song Lyrics.
