DMP-K7 Launch Introduces KAIBOER’s MUPURE Digital Transport Platform

DMP-K7 Launch Introduces KAIBOER’s MUPURE Digital Transport Platform

KAIBOER’s original launch announcement introduced the DMP-K7 digital music player for April 10, 2025. As a dedicated digital transport, it was designed for listeners who already owned a DAC and wanted a more convenient platform for accessing, organizing and controlling their music.

The DMP-K7 was presented as the first flagship in KAIBOER’s Digital Music Universe initiative, combining the MUPURE playback system with a purpose-built front end for Hi-Fi use.

MUPURE: an open playback environment

MUPURE is based on a deeply optimized Android 14 platform. The announcement describes a playback path designed to bypass unnecessary system sample-rate conversion on supported routes, allowing a compatible external DAC to receive the intended digital stream.

At the time of the launch feature, KAIBOER reported targeted optimization for 20 music-app platforms and four cloud platforms. Listed examples included Apple Music, Spotify, several major Chinese music services, Baidu cloud storage and OneDrive. The open system also allowed installation of compatible third-party Android applications.

A six-inch display and connected control

The player uses a six-inch, 1080p color display with touch controls along the side of the interface. The source highlights synchronized operation through the MUPURE companion app on supported mobile and computer platforms, alongside compatible streaming protocols.

The stated memory configuration is 8 GB RAM and 64 GB internal flash storage. KAIBOER presents this as a foundation for the playback system and installed software, with transitions between local music and streaming at the center of the interaction design.

Storage for a growing collection

An internal M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD expansion up to 8 TB. USB 3.0 allows external-drive use, with the original feature describing a tested 20 TB drive. Gigabit networking and Wi-Fi 6 provide access to a compatible NAS, while supported cloud apps offer another route to stored music.

The player can also provide music-storage access within a home network. MUPURE scans supported collections, groups albums and artists, and can match cover art, lyrics and album information through available online services.

An external USB optical drive adds supported CD playback and ripping, bringing disc collections into the same playback environment.

Wireless and digital outputs

The Qualcomm QCC3083 Bluetooth 5.4 section supports transmit and receive modes, with codecs including LDAC and aptX Adaptive in the original specification. This provides another way to connect suitable Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

For an external DAC, the USB audio output specification reaches PCM up to 32-bit/1536 kHz and DSD1024 through supported modes and receiving equipment. The source lists D2P, DoP and native DSD options. Optical and coaxial outputs are listed up to 24-bit/192 kHz, with supported DSD conversion or encapsulation options.

The HDMI output also supports a compatible television or display for audio-visual use, with the original announcement listing video output up to 4K/60 Hz. This HDMI function should be distinguished from an HDMI-shaped I²S input on a DAC.

A dedicated power architecture

The hardware uses a toroidal linear power supply, metal shielding, KAIBOER’s SilenceWave circuit design, a low-jitter clock arrangement and selected audio components. The stated objective is to provide a stable digital front end that complements the DAC already in the system.

The original launch included China-market cable gifts, a price-protection arrangement and a trial campaign. Those were launch-period terms, not current offers or additional service commitments on the English website.
